Worked well for 2011 15″ MBP,
Took out my optical drive and replaced it with a second hard drive. As other reviewers have noted, there are no screw holes to attach the drive to the adapter nor the adapter to the BMP. The fit is snug enough that I’m not worried about anything moving. As another reviewer noted, there is a piece of plastic that gets in the way. Instead of breaking it, I found that you can pry it away from the side of the adapter and it will come off. Simple mod and great way to add a second hard drive.
Also, it’s spec’d as a 9.5mm drive adapter. I did get a 1T 12.5mm drive in, but it’s really too much stress on the bottom plate and a cable that fit over the drive bay in the case. Stick to 9.5mm or find another adapter. I put a 750G Scorpio Black in instead.
On a side note, I also ordered an external enclosure to put the optical drive in. Because it’s a slot load (so you wont have a face plate at all) and Apple design (screw holes don’t line up with the case), it’s not a good solution. Save yourself the trouble and just order an external DVD burner for a couple more bucks. My optical is going into a drawer instead.

Doesn’t quite fit MBP 13″ 2011,
I got this to install a second hard drive in my MacBook Pro 13″ 2011. It doesn’t quite fit in the bay, but snapping off a piece of plastic (not perforated for snapping, though), it fits fine. It installs “upside down”, with the open space you see in the picture facing towards the keyboard, so switching the HD in the caddy requires removing it entirely, which is less than ideal. I mostly wanted the adaptor inside the caddy, which was easy to extract, and works excellent. Just follow the old rule: Velcro.

Works, but had to break some plastic,
Laptop: 2011 15 inch Macbook Pro
Pro: Works perfectly. Cheap.
Con: I had to break some plastic (about 1 inch) at the tip of the caddy to make a room for Macbook Pro’s antenna.
Included screws were not being used. Additional screws from Macbook Pro were not used.
– If you are not comfortable with breaking plastic, you won’t be able to fit this in 2011 Macbook Pro
