Better than Kingwin,
I had 2 hot swappable hard drive bays from Kingwin but after one of them bit the dust I decided to pay the premium for Vantec’s EZ Swap 4. I bought 2 of them and was pleased to see they were relatively short in depth and used the standard 4-ping molex power connector (I have an older power supply that only has 1 SATA power connector). Installation was a breeze, but after powering on my system I was greeted with a flashing fan light on one of the bays. Unfortunately, I ended up with 1 bay that had a dead fan fresh out of the box. Took it back and got a replacement that is working fine.
Pros:
-Short depth
-See the temperature at a glance
-Quiet
-Molex power connectors
Cons:
-One fan DOA (dead on arrival)
-Lever on the front is made of plastic
Bought from a local store but Amazon’s price is cheaper, should have bought them here.

Great design with user in mind,
I have tried a Startech model.Though it is very well and solid built, the fan will run regardless whether there is harddisk inside. And the fan is very noisy. Together these just add in-tolerable noise to my already not so quiet system. Then I found this model from Vantec. It has an intelligent power that the power and fan that will only turn on when there is a harddisk inside which makes this unit very quiet when sitting in the chassis.
To use the unit, just push the lock in to open the door and slide the harddisk in. The operation is buttery smooth.
You should really consider this one if you want a solid and quiet unit.
BTW, I only give it 4 stars because I think the knob to open the tray door should be made a little more solid or may be using a solid metal knob. Other than this, the unit is perfect.
